Shut Up

How do you deal with a person that doesn't shut up?

I am really bothered by people who find the constant need to fill up every moment of their lives with talking. They just would not shut up... in fact, the only time they keep quiet is when they are asleep. Well, probably then they will be dreaming about yakking away also.

I've come to the conclusion that maybe they don't have much in their brain to think about. Silence is oppressing to these people 'cos there is totally nothing in their brain to go over...zit, empty.

The most suitable job for people like these will be Public Relations, Sales, Receptions, Commentators, DJs etc. They thrive in jobs that require them to talk, talk, talk. They just don't get tired...in fact, if they keep quiet, they will feel bored and listless.

I am definitely not like that. I like quiet... I do talk and socialise but there are times to keep quiet and reflect or think things through. To me, a nice quiet time to relax with a book and curl up in a cosy couch is the ultimate escape. Being with people who love talking is fine if I am in the mood for company. But there are days when I just want some peace and there are people around me yakking away non stop, even to themselves, my head just feel like it's going to explode.

So, question is: How do you deal with a person who don't shut up?
