I'll be home for Christmas

Yes! I am going back for Christmas.

I miss my home, my family, my dog, my friends and my food!

My parents have no idea I'll be home for Christmas. I'm planning to surprise them by turning up at the doorstep. I can't wait to see the expression on their faces. I will also get to see my baby pet Happy. I miss her sooooo much. I want to shower her with hugs and kisses.

There are tons of things I want to do when I'm back. Most important and top of my list is to just have a nice long dinner with my family at home. With everyone talking at the same time. My mum's great cooking on the table. My doggie happily bouncing around my feet. My niece and nephew trying to get a word in.

There's so much to catch up on and so little time...

Bookmark

Well, another year has come and gone.

Last year same day I was still in Singapore happily eating my mee sua and red eggs. This year it's just Chris and I....morning coffee and then sandwich for lunch. I was never a big fan of birthday parties anyway. Never feel entirely comfortable in a big crowded room... let alone having the spotlight on me.

But I love birthdays though... sounds ironic. To me Birthdays are like bookmarks to a person's life. It marks the passing of time, a reminder of achievements... kinda like a stocktaking session.

As for me, it's more like a day of quiet reflections and having a simple meal with the ones that matter.

Dear Diary III

Dear Diary,

The weather is finally warming up after months of freezing winter.

Yesterday the weather forecasted a storm warning. We were all warned to stay indoor as a storm was approaching. Everyone decided to go home early.

Well by the time we reached home, the sun was shining, the birds were chirping. Not a rain cloud in the sky. The whole night was still and clear. Not a drop of water.

There must be something wrong with the weather satelite...maybe they are pointing in the wrong directions.

Apple

There's a saying "The apple does not fall far from its tree"

But sometimes one of its apples falls over the other side of the fence into another backyard. And because the environment is different, the apple will grow into an apple tree of a different quality.
